I called Matt after several people recommended him. He was very kind and did a very good job on my son’s case. We are very thankful for the work he did. Most importantly, he was never hard to reach and answered every question we had while going through the process. Matt is the only attorney I will ever call in the future.
My husband is a cyclist that did not fair well against an SUV recently. Matt and his team took phenomenal care of us, allowing us not to stress out (too much) about the little things. Matt and his team handled everything with professionalism. We know we made the right call.
So glad I hired this firm after my rearend car accident. Matt embodies the skill set and values I was looking for. He treats every case like a mini war, and was a zealous advocate on my behalf. And he did so in the most competent and skillful manner. He listened, was empathetic and understood my legal and nonlegal problems.
My 85-year old mom was in a motor vehicle accident with an uninsured motorist. His love, thoroughness and commitment to her case helped us through this accident and her cancer treatment. She underwent successful lobectomy and chemotherapy and is doing exceptionally well. We are immensely grateful.
Matt is a nationally recognized civil litigation attorney focused on high-stakes cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, and class actions. Outside the courtroom, Matt works to empower others to make informed decisions about their health, safety, and financial well-being.
Before joining the Wetherington Law Firm, Robert specialized in insurance litigation, liability litigation, and general insurance defense. His experience representing some of Georgia’s largest insurance carriers and providers gives him unique insight into the tactics that powerful companies use against plaintiffs and the actions that plaintiffs can take to strengthen their cases, both in negotiations and in court.
James relentlessly focuses on identifying, exposing, and remedying dangerous products and corporate practices. In cases of all sizes, difficulties, and complexities, James prides himself on tirelessly representing those wrongly injured by the negligence of others.
Following an accident in Atlanta, it is crucial that you take proactive measures to protect your health, well-being, and legal rights. Defendants and major insurance companies waste little time in crafting their defense strategy. Here are three key things to do after an accident in Georgia: CONTINUE READING
The statute of limitations sets the deadline to file personal injury laws. In Georgia, personal injury claims are generally subject to a two-year statute of limitations. With a few exceptions in both directions, most personal injury lawsuits in Georgia must be filed within two years of the accident. CONTINUE READING
One or more parties may be legally responsible for your injuries. In Georgia, an injured victim typically needs to prove that their accident was caused by the defendant’s negligence in order to hold them liable for the accident. There are some limited exceptions. For example, defective product claims fall under a strict liability standard. Still, in most personal injury claims, you need to prove that the defendant’s careless, reckless, or otherwise unreasonably dangerous conduct caused your accident. Successful personal injury claims require evidence. A thorough investigation is a must. CONTINUE READING
The value of your Atlanta personal injury case will depend on several factors, including your ability to prove fault and the extent of your damages. In Georgia, injured victims can hold the at-fault party legally responsible for out-of-pocket and intangible damages. As defendants and insurers try to settle claims for less even when liability is clear, it is imperative your damages are well-documented. CONTINUE READING
It might—but most personal injury claims are resolved prior to a trial. Some studies estimate that less than five percent of personal injury cases actually go to trial. Still, personal injury litigation is always possible. You need a trial-tested Atlanta personal injury attorney who protects your rights no matter the path that your case takes. CONTINUE READING

Monique1 StarI personally would not refer this Law Firm. They was a straight pushover for the Defense. Anything the Defendant's Attorney wanted they gave her. They prolonged my case repeatedly agreeing to extension for discovery to help the Defendant's Atty devalue my case. They did not need an extension because my case was clear cut and I had basically did all the leg work. They are the type of Atty's that drain their clients by running up bills and help the other side milk big corporations to get a piece of that too. When i started questioning their tactics and why were they stalling they threaten to withdraw from my case and still hold me liable for their outrageous attorney fees. Their morals and professional ethics went out the door. They were more interested in satisfying the Skirt (female atty) that represented the Defendant. They made it all sound good in the beginning but when things started not looking right and i started asking questions i walked away with what i already had gotten on my own without an attorney. It was a pure waste of time all because they couldn't control their hormones and put their Client first.Saturday 30th December 2023
